Really decent cask offering here of the Butty Bach, HPA and Jammy Dodger from Wye Valley, then Jemima's Pitchfork from Glamorgan Brewing Co and Hancock's HB. Keg then of Staro, Carling, Aspall and Cold River from Sharp's as the cider offering, Madri, Guinness and the AF version and Alpacalypse. A variety of ciders available from stacked boxes to the side of the bar counter.

Old school venue on the High St in Cowbridge. Rectangle from the front, boarded at the front and stone flagstones at the rear. Regular copper topped tables and chairs at the front by the log burner in the original fire grate, bar counter along the left-hand wall in the middle section with a fabric banquette on the opposite wall serving a couple of the same copper topped tables. Fire grate on the rear wall and further regular tables, some served by high backed church pew style benches and a banquette fitted around the rear right-hand corner. Some framed photos and prints on the walls showing scenes of the High St in ages gone by. No piped music, no screens, perfect place to while away time with a decent pint as if in a bygone age. Really top pub.
