Cask here was Abbot and Old Golden Hen with an unused hand pump. Keg offering of Guinness, Jubel Peach lager, Asahi, Peroni, Neck Oil, Aspall, Cruz and Carling.
Traditional corner pub, the right-hand side through the common entrance akin to a public bar with the side of the bar counter, essentially an island affair, offering tall stools seating. Regular tables and benches and chairs around the perimeter and a dart board in the front corner. Screens switched off and a rather enjoyable Irish folk medley being played at a very background sort of volume. There is a carpeted room at the rear with a mixture of seating options and leading out to an external gravelled beer garden with the usual tables and chairs you would expect to see in such a beer garden. There is a dart board in this room also. The left-hand side from the common entrance was a mixture of carpet and stone tiles with a pool table in the centre of the floor space and a dart board on the rear wood panelled wall. A log burner was not in use on my visit and seating was of the comfy type with wingback armchairs, leather sofas and leather bucket style armchairs. Some tall stool seating at the rear side of the bar counter. A local's pub a bit off the High St - I really enjoyed my brief stay here.
