Soup Dragon left this review about The Red Lion

This is a brilliant looking pub, and one i had to wait in order to get in, while other places were open.It is a terraced Georgian styled pub in a salmon coloured render; the sash windows and entrances have decorated moulding, and there are rusticated pilasters at either end - looks great. Sadly, that is where it ends. The interior has one large L-shaped room, in salmon and cream, with a mix of stone and wood floor and a mix of tables and booth areas. There is a pool table. The service was OK and a few young uns were in. Beer; there were 3 real ale taps, all turned around. General keg stuff, so i had half a Guinness Extra Cold and swiftly left. Not a great experience - one for the younger locals, i think.
