Very traditional pub in the backstreets of Roath. Front bar has bare boards some green leather banquettes around the perimeter and small round tables dotted around the middle. There is a dart board in the far corner and clear evidence of live music here. The small, green and black painted board bar is immediately inside the front door. There is a back bar with a pool table and a rear beer garden that I did not check out because of the weather today.
No cask, and a fairly benign keg offering and comprising Guinness, Budweiser, Stongbow, Worthington Creamflow, a cider called Cloudy Apples, Madri, Carling, Coors and Aspall cider.
Was the only punter in early lunchtime killing a small amount of time after an appointment on City Rd. TV was on showing the tennis with commentary so there was at least some sound in the pub. Was surprised it was open slightly pre midday but maybe there will be a sudden rush of lunchtime snackers and quaffers!!

A good local pub which is unfortunatly rather quiet these days thanks to the goverments smoking ban.
The beer is good and not too expensive. The Bar also has a skittle Alley.
