No cask. Had Aspall cider, Madri, Neck Oil and Peroni on tap plus a range of bottled beers.
Large branch on the road up Caerphilly mountain. Paved area out the front with some seating, not used this time of year I would imagine. The reception desk is just inside the entrance, with the bar counter on the back wall to the left of the entrance and there is a bar area with an attractive red leather banquette and small tables to sit at either as a stand-alone bar area or whilst waiting for your table to be become free. A raised seating area in front of that in the windows on this side was occupied by diners. To the right of the entrance was the main restaurant area busy with diners on my early Sunday evening visit. You probably are only going to be here if you fancy a steak, the other venues on here in the area will appeal much more as places to drink, including a couple further up the mountain.
