Four hand pumps. Two unused, two offering Hobgoblin Gold and Brains SA. Keg offering of Neck Oil, Inch’s, Estrella, Staro, Amstel, Guinness.

Suspect this is quite an old venue. The entrance is on the roadside and to the left is a two-level area. The first level, which is bare boarded, has a bar counter with a couple of tall tables opposite. Up a couple of steps then takes you into a carpeted second level with tables laid for diners. There is a wooden bench along the left most wall serving several tables along that stretch. The main (to call it that) bar area is immediately in front of the entrance and to the right of that. This has original stone flagstones and there is a small number of tall stools at the bar counter. The right most wall is original stone and has a fire grate that I suspect would make this bar atmospheric in darker and colder parts of the year. Seating is via some church pews under the front windows with regular tables and small stools the other side thereof. There is a similar seating arrangement on the opposite wall to the right of the bar counter. To the right of that under a sign proclaiming "duck or grouse" is another flag stoned area with tables laid for diners, seating of various types. This then leads to an impressive and very well-manicured outside seating area with upmarket patio style furniture and set on paved and well-manicured lawns. There is also some cover in the area and the space was popular on my early evening visit. This blows the other Pentyrch venue out of the water in terms of both style and substance, if it had a better beer range then it would be worth the trek to.
