Traditional pub with an L-shaped bar just inside the door that had a bit of a feel of an old school working men’s club! Seating all around the perimeter including banquettes. Carpeted apart from a well-worn set of boards around the bar. Large big screen TV in the front part with an illuminated dart board to the left of it - fortunately not too close! Pool table in the back section with a large floor to ceiling fireplace & chimney which acts as a bit of a room divider. There is a beer garden out the back with picnic style benches and tables not much in use today even with the umbrellas. Make a big thing about showing upcoming live sports.

No cask - three hand pumps formerly providing Brains beers but apparently no longer functional. Keg choices were predictably lager (Carling, Carlsberg, San Miguel, Cruz & Moretti) dominated with ciders (Strongbow - regular and dark fruits & Thatchers Haze) and just Brains IPA Smooth as an alternative to lager and cider.

This place will have a good local following but can’t really see it being a destination venue in any shape or form. It is what it is, and it is for locals.
