Visited 07/08/24.
Ember Inns venue. Large, carpeted venue around a central bar. An outside seating area, partially covered, but not in use on my visit. Mixture of tall tables with stools and default tables set up for dining. Quite a few here on my visit were here to drink. In many respects a typical out of town centre venue.
Cask options were Reverend James, Doom Bar and Landlord. Keg offering of lagers (Peroni, Coors, Stella, Madri, Carling & Camden Hells), ciders (Thatchers Haze & Stowford Press cider) plus Wingman, Cali Pale from Tiny Rebel and Guinness.
It was around 30 years since I last visited this venue and made small detour from planned crawl to take the trip down memory lane. Pretty much exactly as I remembered the place, particularly the location and the large car park out the front of the venue.

Ember Inns pub in Rhiwbina. This was much busier than other local pubs and was doing a good trade in food.
We were welcomed and registered for track and trace purposes on entry, but service was temporarily halted there, as we were requested to download an app to order. This proved decidedly difficult without any mobile data reception and without having to pass over all my worldly details in order to register for the wifi.
After around 10 minutes of trying, staff eventually took pity on us and took our order in a slightly more old fashioned way. 15 minutes after arriving, we finally received drinks. The 4 ales on here are Black Sheep Twilighter, St Austell Tribute & Proper Job & Fuller's London Pride. Unlike most Ember Inns, it appears that the ale range is fixed, with no guests.
The interior is the typical Ember Inns bland corporate interior, but the pub is fairly large and did enjoy a few more customers than elsewhere.
