Tidy old skool two roomer. An empty (but nice!) stone-walled lounge on the right, a games room and then busier atmospheric bar to the left; the old plasterboard ceiling has been removed here which kind of works in its favour. Wood burning stove on the go along with three cask, a decent selection comprising Rev James (3), Wye Valley HPA (3) and Swannay Scapa (NBSS 3.5). The guv’nor and locals were good fun once they’d warmed-up a bit and I got offered a chocolate from the barmaid’s selection box. GBG listed and worth getting the bus out for - it stops a few yards down the road. 7.5
