Tidy corner local. Inside looks like an 80s cosy refurb that has been kept immaculately; fake ceiling beams, red fabric banquettes, some exposed brick, a nice tiled fireplace and a darts n’ pool alcove to the right of the servery. Unusual collection of old sewing machines in the window. Owner must be a boxing fan, plenty of cased gloves. Gloomy inside, the only lights on were at the bar and there was no obvious heating, on a cold and grey day that was a downer. Two cask in this GBG listed pub, Wye Valley Butty and a super Sharps Sea Fury (NBSS 4). Good bit of local chunter and I enjoyed my stop here, chill notwithstanding. 7.5
