Still a Craft Union pub, still no cask ale. The choice was between Camden Hells, John Smith’s, Peroni, Guinness, Moretti, Foster’s, Cruzcampo, Carlsberg and Stella. There were several gaming machines and TV screens, the latter showing live horse racing. The clientele was a good mix of ages, mainly locals. The young barmaid was cheerful and friendly, and it was a comfortable visit, despite there being no cask. I’m not sure I’d come back, though, unless they sorted out the ale situation.

I saw that this was now a Craft Union pub, so called in to see if they are doing cask beers, as some of them do. The two pump clips were decorated, but not with pump clips. The friendly and helpful barman/manager directed me to the New Inn (though not today as it's closed Mondays) or the Eagle Hotel.

This consists of a long narrow room with a dog leg towards the rear and a pool room further back. It's rather quieter and more comfortable at the front as there is an obtrusive TV screen at the rear.
The bar takes up most of the right hand side and has three hand pumps with a house Pen Y Bryn Pale by Charles Wells (possibly London Gold), GK Abbot and Caledonian Poltergeist Porter. I went for the house beer which at £2.30 was cheap as chips and in good condition. I thought this was the best of the four Llanrwst pubs.

Situated in the main square this is also a friendly pub and serves real ales for Camra boyos.
