My ancient N Wales beer guide reveals that this was a Burtonwood pub which means of course it now belongs to Marston.
Inside it's a single open plan room with a TV, darts, a pool table and a jukebox. The floor looked like a wood laminate.
Although there are two hand pumps there was no real ale so I had to settle for Mansfield smooth crap (£2.40) which was ironically served in a Pedigree glass and was crap.
Marston's continue to ruin the former Burtonwood outlets in N Wales.

A terraced pub, with patio at the back. It is likely Georgian in origin, but has been remodelled over time. It is in cream, with a brick foundation and has two small front-facing gables with finials. The lower frontage windows are lancets, with stained glass of the six king George's we have had. The interior is now an open room, with a dart board and a pool table. It has red bench seats, a TV that wasn't on and was in cream and wood, with a wood floor. There is a small side area, in striped wallpaper and white walls, red carpet, with a small fireplace, a TV (not on) and a mirror for decoration! The place looks a little tires, but the service was friendly and the clientele small, and local. The music was charty and a bit loud. Beer; no real ale, just usual keg stuff with a fair enough Jenning's Bitter. Nothing really for the real ale fan., just a basic pub.
