Basic locals bar, enter to a pool table (how welcoming!) with the main seating area off left. The same gross of grey paint that has done the rounds in half of the pubs in town has also washed-up here. Newspapers, at least, which gets a point. No cask so a half a Guinness again, a bit of a Caernarfon default beer.

The facade of this pub, which is built backing onto the old town wall, is deceptive. The grand front hides a very small interior, though a few chairs are put outside in clement weather. There's no real ale, and I had to settle for a half of Guinness when I was here (cash only: £1.75).
