Curious place in the back end of town which feels like a small Edwardian hotel turned into a locals' pub. The main room has full wood panelling, with a pool room behind, a dining area to one side and a Sunday carvery tucked away in the back. There is also a mysterious-looking upstairs. Outside there is a children's play area behind the large car park. Draught ales were Doom Bar and Sea Fury, and it felt nicely comfortable sitting in the bar.

Basically a very friendly pub. People working in the area temporarilly (quite common) are made welcome and the food is excellent care of chef Andy. The sunday Carvery is the highlight of the week and very well subscribed - 01326 312010
