A white renderd detached country pub, with green paintwork and a nice beer garden. In the GBG 2010
The interior kind of has three main areas; a bar, dining and side area. The side area is in brick, salmon and green; the bar white and wood panel, with again, brick fireplaces. I didnt see the dining area. All have beamed ceilings. The place is a treasure trove of ephemera, with plates, brass, harnesses and other horse trappings, as well as pictures and prints. We didnt eat, but there seemed to be a nice menu. The service was friendly, but at our visit the clientele was small.
Beer; tap stuff, with Wadsworth Henry's IPA, Bass and an excellent Timothy Taylor Landlord on handpull
Another delightful place to stop off at when travelling through the Island - more than worthy of its GBG status. I look forward to a return.

Excellent roadside pub with superb home-made food and nice fire in winter.
