Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Tamar Inn
The Tamar Inn has a lovely setting next to the River Tamar and the railway viaduct over it. The large room has slate tiles and exposed stone walls. However, the effect is spoiled by a profusion of England flags. I spotted at least one TV in a corner. So, presumably live sports are shown. There was a dartboard in another corner. Music was playing fairly loudly, whilst a wifi password is available behind the bar. Vapes are also on sale behind the bar and a "cash is king" sign is made apparent.
There are 4 handpulls. Just Tribute & Cornish Best were on. A Proper Job clip was turned around with the fourth handpull unclipped. Harbour Arctic Sky was on keg. Ciders were Inch's, Thatcher's Gold & Healey's Rattler.
Food is served, along with cream teas and scones. I assume this is a popular place for daytrippers during the summer months. However in the evening, the pub appears to be the preserve of local youngsters. Even the bar staff were young lads. Despite this, there were more people in the Calstock Social Club opposite. Perhaps the £2.75 for my half of Cornish Best goes some way to explaining the Social Club's popularity?

Large historic village pub near river, with beams and stone floors. Tribute and Dartmoor beers at time of visit, but they change regularly apparently. Free car park nearby.
