Large pub which seemed to be very popular with the locals. Butty Bach and Wadworth 6X on offer. I went for the Wadworth for a change. I asked for a half and didn't notice the barman pulling a pint. He looked unimpressed when I pointed it out and just poured some into a half glass without a word. Not the greatest service I have ever had to be fair! I am glad I only had half as the beer was not great. I couldn't be bothered to return it so I soldiered on and drank it. I wouldn't bother calling in again!

Unusual frontage with semi-arched windows akin to a wine cellar. Whether these are modern or not who knows but I thought they looked tidy. Kitted-out a bit like a dive bar inside, quite dark and with a dodgy disco about to start. Pretty quiet compared to other nearby outlets. Two ales on at the bar, Bombardier and a lackadaisical Butcombe Rare Breed. ‘Entertainment’ provided by Mrs Brown's Boy's on a drop-down screen - classy. Didn’t see a huge amount to entice me back, really. Note: Venue 59 next door is owned by this place and is a most definitely not a pub, we were told!
