A CAMRA National Inventory pub, so off I trudged to take a look. It’s a pretty corner building and the interior hints at a grander past; padded bench seating, unusual grooved (1920s?) wood panelling, coloured windows, a dark varnished and mirrored Victorian bar back. There’s a plain pool room behind. Three pumps with just a warm and lacklustre Tim Taylor Landlord available (NBSS 2) served-up Peter Mannion MP’s rogue brother. Two TVs on showing the Women's Euros. Worth a look at the interior. 5.5
