Quinno _ left this review about The Ship Inn
The only pub in Lower Fishguard and situated on a narrow through road with next to nothing in the way of pavement. You can tell this is going to be a classic on approach when you see the exterior signage above the door dating from the mid 60’s. Enter through a porch via a sliding door (!) to enter a pub stuck in a fantastic time-warp; heavy wood panelling, red velveteen banquettes, seafaring paraphernalia adorning the walls and ceiling and a bunch of locals who look set in aspic – the same people feel like they could have greeted you in here 10, 25, 40 years ago, friendly and quick with friendly banter. I’m mildly surprised this isn’t on the CAMRA National Inventory. Of other note is the gents, fashioned from a painted wall and quarry tiles. Three cask on the go, Bass (NBSS 4.5), Coles Cwrw from the brewpub in Carmarthenshire (4) and Felinfoel Double Dragon. So good we stayed for a second and then came back the following evening despite it being a slog from our accommodation. A gem – you really must get in here. Really surprised it isn’t GBG’22 listed. 9.5
