The Mason's Arms is one of only 2 pubs left in the village of Cilgerran. With stone walls and slate floors, it has a lovely, traditional feel. The single room is small with fireplaces at either end and a switched off TV. There is also a dartboard and a packed trophy cabinet on the right-hand side. A Welsh rugby shirt can be found on one wall. There are also a couple of outdoor tables at the front.
Music was playing quietly throughout my visit, but conversation rules. All customers were fairly elderly and were chatting with the much younger barman. Mantle Cwrw Teifi is the regular beer and it was in excellent condition. A guest beer was Sharp's Atlantic.
Pubs like this are a dying breed. Catch it whilst you can.

Old fashioned traditional pub which you are sure of a friendly welcome. The landlady was a superb character, well worth a visit
