Good Beer Guide 2026 entry - we were in the area, so ignored the two pubs (only one functioning) in the main village and headed towards Burry Port on the CAMRA recommendation. They should be praised for having a sign that states "Open 7 days a week". Consistency is king.

Unplastered internal walls - a separate dining room with a surprising small bar in the main drinking area. Two cask ales on. I went for a Gower Gold which was freezing cold. Either they have an icebox of a cellar or something else was going on.

Relatively busy on a Monday lunch on a horrible February day, which is encouraging.

After navigating the sun trap beer garden out front you enter to a surprisingly large place with a surprisingly teeny bar. The bigger left side room is a restaurant area with a tidy if fairly bland bar area immediately in front of you. Two TVs showing rugby league, unusual for the locale. Smelt of new paint, the white and light blue colour scheme was inoffensive enough, the main visual highlight being the big map on the wall of the local area. Two cask; Gower Gold (NBSS 2 fag end) and Evan Evans Warrior (3.5). GBG ’22 listed.
