Update October 2024
Following a couple of ownership changes, the pub has been tidied up but with no major structural changes since the last review. It now opens more regular hours and serves food all day. Cask ales now Black Sheep Best and TT Landlord & Boltmaker - judgement on the beer reserved as the latter was decidedly past its best but the Black Sheep was fine.

April 2019 review
Modernised old pub, or possibly farmhouse, elevating itself from former motel status to "country inn". The main pub part has three areas; the conventionally-furnished bar, a back area with large sofas and a side room with tables. Beams and dark wood abounds and the flooring in the older part is a mixture of stone flags and tiles. To the back is a larger restaurant room, available for functions. Accommodation is provided in a long side extension which has its own garden area, while the 'public' beer garden is accessed round the front of the pub. A bank of three handpumps only offered Landlord at time of visit - a little cold but quite drinkable. The food is fairly conventional pub fare but seemed to be genuinely home-made and pretty good.

Great little motel. Have stayed here twice and was looked after very well by the staff. Good bar food.
