Graham Coombs left this review about Stamfords
An unexciting-looking backstreet pub which surprisingly has been thoroughly modernised. The smart interior includes tiled flooring, a marble counter top, downlighters and upmarket decor, which even more surprisingly actually seems to work and it still feels like a pub, no doubt helped by the sports TVs. There is a tidy outdoor terrace at the back also. A good selection of well-priced ales featured Tetleys Original, Bass, Butcombe Original and Robinsons Dizzy Blonde. A pleasant surprise.

Small and a bit basic inside with white painted anaglypta and white artex ceilings, little decoration just a few 19th century adverts. There's a big screen and dart board and the back bar has a pool table and another dart board. The usual kegs plus four hand pumps with John Smiths Cask, Jennings Cockerhoop, Hobgoblin and Landlord in reasonable condition. A basic back street local with no distinguishing features.
