Alex Conway left this review about The Buckles Inn
The Buckles Inn is a roadside pub on the off the Main A road into York a fifteen minute drive out of the Center. This Is a Sams Smiths tied house but does a lot of food trade unlike most Sam smiths as this is more of a family stop off with no immediate houses near by meaning travelers by car are the biggest market. because of this less emphasis is placed upon drinkers meaning their drinks portfolio is lesser than most Sam smiths pubs I Have visited. Their only bitter was keg Old brewery bitter at the new inflated price for northern Sam Smiths pubs of £1.90 and was an ok pint but noit as good as the Cask version.
Not bad for a roadside stop off and a bit of lunch but due to its accessibility only suitable for a passing drink and possibly some hearty reasonably priced food.
