Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Railway Hotel

Corner pub transformed into a modern craft and ale house with a mix of modern features, retro arcade games and a semi-traditional multi-room arrangement. Heavy music at more than background level, but not out of place here. Small rear patio. Four handpumps offering less usual beers, including Little Bitter That (£3.20) and Apollo Thirsteen from Brew Foundation, and a few interesting keg and bottled offerings. From my (admittedly limited) experience of pubs near football grounds I wasn't expecting too much, so I'll freely admit I was pleasantly surprised by what I found here.

Recently transformed from a former Stones pub selling only keg beers to a five-hand-pump real ale house. In prime location a stone's throw from the Bramall Lane stadium, they are able to keep five beers rotating thanks to massive consumption on match days - not sure how this will work in the close season, though. All the beers appear to be from local breweries - at the time of my Saturday evening visit there were just four, as one had sold out owing to the Blades home game that afternoon. My "Bitter That" from Brew Foundation was very drinkable and reasonable value at £2.95 a pint. There's a large selection of bottled beers, too.

The bar is tucked away in the apex of the triangle, on the left of the entrance. The remainder of the space is still divided into small rooms, though the doors, and in some cases the doorways too, have been removed. It's pleasant though to see a pub like this has not been hollowed out into one large space to maximise drinkers' elbow room, but has been allowed to retain some of the character of the original design. It's slightly off my beaten track, but I'll make a point of calling again from time to time.
