Will Larter left this review about The Handsworth Inn

Craft Union pub with plenty of sports screens but no cask beer. Stones Keg bitter had a price tag of £3.70 but my half was charged at £2. It was very cold and devoid of flavour, despite the price hike. A games room to the right has a pool table and two dartboards, and a TV screen at each end showing different sports channels. The bar room, and the room next to it both seemed pleasant spaces, tastefully furnished. It was stiflingly hot where I was, and I intended to drink up as quick as I could and head for the exit, but in the end I just left my unfinished glass of this very disappointing beer on the end of the bar.

Alan Winfield left this review about The New Crown Inn

The New Crown Inn has had a bit of a makeover and is now called the Handsworth Inn.
The pub looks fairly smart from the ouside with its new white paintwork, but once inside it is not has good with it being in the modern style.
There is an oblong shaped room with the bar facing, the floor was part tiled and carpeted, there were normal tables and chairs to the front and a very uncomfortable looking low backed bench seat to the front left, there were tall tables and chairs to the rear right.
There was a seperate pool room to the left which was oblong in shape and had comfy leather bench seating, this room looked better than the main room.
There were no pumps on the bar,but there were two keg bitters,i opted for the Stones bitter which is usually a decent keg bitter, this was a very dire drink that tasted quite poor to me,the other beer was John Smiths smooth crap.
The pub was almost empty on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I was very dissapointed with this pub.
