This is a nice looking traditional stone-built pub, standing back from the road. It has extensions to the left and rear, and the entrance and bar are in these, along with darts and pool. The original building is three or four rooms with walls partly removed, and a couple of stone fireplaces and chimney breasts and solid fuel stoves that were not in use at the time of my visit. There is banquette seating around the walls with the backs un-upholstered and the wood stained and varnished. These areas are pleasant and comfortable. There's no cask beer here, and I went for Guinness, which was not too cold.
