Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Frog & Parrot
Split-level Greene King pub with the interior given a semi-traditional look. Has a reasonable amount on window space which lightens the nearby seating, but the bar and adjoining areas are somewhat darker but also cooler on a warm day than the busy tables out on the pavement in the sunshine. Least attractive part: a rather gloomy (almost oppressive) rear patio 'garden'. Just IPA (£4.70) available from the bank of four handpumps.

Called in again on Monday evening. It was very dark inside and had too loud music playing. Most of the clientele were students, no surprise there then. This is a Greene King pub these days so 3 of the handpumps were serving their dross. There were a couple of guest beers on though and I had a pint of Folk Forest from Sheffield Co-op who are four local brewers collaborating. I can't remember who they all were but Neepsend and Sheffield Brew Co. were definitely there. It was a good pint as well. The numpty behind the bar had a severe lack of customer service though. We'll not bother again for quite some time I suspect.

A few years ago this place was a must visit when in Sheffield when I used to visit the Probation office across the road (only for work purposes I hasten to add). Sadly this is no longer true anymore.Only one cask ale on when I called, they used to have at least 4. The refubishment has totally changed the character of the pub. OK it needed a spruce up, but it's just not the same. Shame.

Another pub whose recent refurbishment has prompted a revisit, and once again I was hard pressed to say what if anything had changed. Looking around while waiting to be served I noticed a curved arrow pointing to a garden of which I was previously unaware, which looked likely to be a yard for smokers (note to self: check it out when it's not the middle of winter). That aside, everything looked much as before, though in slightly newer incarnations. The red phone box is still there, with its gaming machine - no change there (sorry). There are two banks of three hand pumps, with Greene King IPA doubled, Black Sheep Bitter, Sharps Doom Bar, Abbeydale Moonshine and a house beer that was not further identifiable. My Black Sheep was in pretty good condition and this is a not-unpleasant place for a quick drink when it's not too busy. It's the sort of pub that visiting foreign students are likely to be taking photos of, to share with their friends back home.

This GK pub has some quirky interior features. We entered from the side street and once through the door we noticed lots of partitioned booths along the wall which had a middle eastern theme to them. The next feature was a red phone box with a fruit machine installed inside it. There seemed to be a lot of people still waiting for their meals on our lunchtime visit. After waiting a good while, we settled on the Abbeydale Moonshine.

This is a Greene King pub these days, and on my recent visit there were the usual IPA and Old Speckled Hen, but also two beers apparently unique to this pub, one called Lord Parrot and the other Cuttlefish Ale. The barman was unable to enlighten us about their origins and the pump clips gave nothing away, so I suspect they were just rebadged or tweaked GK beers.
The pub was reasonably quiet on a midweek evening in January, but I've been past on other occasions when it's been heaving. Now that Roger & Out no longer provides a reason for coming here, it's just another fairly ordinary pub on the West St/Division St circuit, though in its favour it is definitely a pub and not a drinking barn.

When i first went in this pub it was an home brew pub with about four real ales on the bar and they also had the famous Roger and Out on here at an og of 1100.
Sadly this pub has been done up in a trendy style and the home brewing has now stopped so i did'nt stay in here long i had a quick half of Pedigree.
I was very dissapointed with my latest visit here.
