Will Larter left this review about The Florist
This is a fine looking building with three large bay windows facing the road, and looking out towards the closed Crown which is now private housing on the other side of the busy road from Hillsborough up to Walkley. Inside there's a series of rooms knocked through and the bar is situated in the middle of these. To the left rear there's a games room with pool and snooker tables. A recent refurbishment has resulted in bright walls with even brighter modern art on them. On the bar an equally bright row of modern keg fonts, including Magnest and John Smiths Smooth Crap, and a disappointingly isolated hand pump. This was dispensing the Bradfield winter ale, Belgian Blue. Unfortunately this was well past its best, and not a patch on the excellent half of the same beer I'd supped at the Walkley Cottage prior to my visit here. This remains a popular local, but for real ale lovers the Walkley Cottage or the Palm Tree are much better options around here.
