Something of a sinking feeling approaching this pub, with not much signage and no signs of life. Happily a head seen through a window confirmed it was still a pub and open, and on venturing in it proved to be a lively locals' local with a big and busy main room, an equally big but empty games room to the side and a drinking yard out the back. I guess they don't get much passing trade but it's ok for what it is. Just John Smith's Smooth as a bitter though.
