Will Larter left this review about The Devonshire Arms

Just reopened after a refurbishment, there's still a pleasant smell of new paint about the place. Like a lot of village pubs of this age, the original layout has been opened up quite a bit, but there's still a separate room in the corner, and a games room at the back. Six hand pumps on the handsome bar counter, with three beers on at the time of my visit, a Monday afternoon. The sound system features classic pop hits of the 60s and 70s, with a bit too much stereo separation apparent to me, but perhaps others are not bothered. New people running this pub, and I received a friendly and informal welcome. My half of Chantry Iron & Steel was pretty decent (NBSS 3, £5.10/pint). This is a good local pub, but too far out of Sheffield to attract anyone from further afield.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Devonshire Arms

The Devonshire Arms is a stone built pub in the middle of dore.
Once inside here the pub has been opened out but still has different drinking areas and also still quite a bit of character to it.
There were five real ales on here i had a drink of Taylor Landlord which was a very nice drink the other beers were London Pride, Jennings Cumberland, John Smiths cask and Bombadier.
I thought this was quite a nice pub and i was very happy havng a drink in here.
