Will Larter left this review about The Cricket Inn

A country pub on the edge of Sheffield, located beside a cricket pitch. Four Thornbridge cask beers are joined on the bar by four of their keg beers. My half of Jaipur (cask) was pretty good (NBSS 3.5, £5.70/pint). There's an authentic feel, with light green paint on the wood panelling, traditional floorboards and flagstones, a hint of (possibly imaginary) wood smoke and Norman Greenbaum and Mungo Jerry on the sound system, to the despair of those of us who heard their one-hits enough in 1970 and really don't need to hear them again, thank you. Apart from that it's quite pleasant here. I might even come back one day. The big room with a high ceiling is really quite impressive, and is available for weddings and funerals and such. I told them I wasn't thinking of dying just yet, but they said they'd be happy to accommodate me if I ever did.

The Cricket Inn is in a country area of totley and in between totley and dore.
This is a largish stone built pub and it used to be a Wards tied house.
Once inside the pub is quite smart and does meals, there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Stones bitter.
