With the look of a village local, the Bagshawe Arms stands alone, with a view of some straggly trees through the front window. Rooms to the left have been opened into one, with a sort of snug consisting of four arm chairs and a picture of a roaring fire. A single room to the right, and a snooker room behind the bar. No cask beers, and my half of John Smiths Smooth was pretty ordinary, and £3.60/pint. Loud music makes conversation unlikely, and the lack of any other customers at 1pm opening time makes it even less likely.
