A fifteen minute walk from Chapel Allerton proper fortunately it’s downhill, it’s maybe a bit nearer to Meanwood, the pub signage says Meanwood, as indeed did the back of the barmaid’s crop top - “Pride of Meanwood” I kid you not. A large brick built 1930s pub with multiple internal spaces the U shaped counter is ahead on entering through the front door. The front face has two T-bars and five hand pumps, fortunately no longer a Sizzling pub so the cask choice was better being from Kirkstall, Northern Monk, Ilkley and err…Tetleys. The keg choice a mix of local as above and national favourites, there’s a further T-bar on each side face. A mix of floor treatments and furnishings although it’s mostly tables and chairs as it’s still a food oriented place. Constant piped music and there’s a number of large screens, showing ladies cricket on this occasion - other sports are no doubt available. The toilets are upstairs and an interesting feature is a couple of music band/club based diagrams but instead of the more familiar London tube map style it’s electronic circuit diagrams.
