Old Boots left this review about Swan

A brick built thirties or fifties building on the main crossroads in Sherburn. Two bars, a lounge to the right with a serving hatch and a more public like bar to the left. The public is L shaped with banquette seating, the short side houses a pool table, screens, machine and a dart board, the exit to the beer garden is also there. Partly carpet, partly laminate floors, it’s painted in green below and fawn above, an odd combo but it sort of goes. I didn’t fancy the lounge after a quick peek so stayed in the public. General market town pub type customers for a Craft Union gaff. Two pulls in the public with “Tetleys” and a decent Ossett White Rat, two T-bars of the usual stuff. I caught it on an unexpected Carnival Saturday so the overall impression might be skewed.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Swan

Prominent pub on the main crossroads in the middle of the town, retaining two separate bars (with the rear part of the lounge being in darkness when I visited, as was the separate pool room at the back). Plainly furnished and decorated throughout, even in the lounge. However, I did note when leaving that it appears to have a decent-sized beer garden with some children's play equipment. John Smith's Cask (£2.70) and Ossett Silver King from a total of three handpumps.
