Not a whole lot of physical change in the eleven years since my last review or the six since Alan Winfield’s. Beer ranges change of course and today it was Landlord, White Rat, Leeds Pale or Salamander Golden Salamander from the recently revived Salamander brewery. There are six pulls but some are doubled up and there’s a couple of T-bars and solos of national keg stuff. Not in the 2022 GBG and I could sort of see why, the autovac was not actually doing the beer any favours. The pulls are only in the right hand room, the screens in both, and the machines only in the left.

The Regent is a nice looking stone built pub that is on a side street off the busy Harrogate road.
Once inside there is a smart lounge to the right which is split level the rear area is up a couple of steps, the room is carpeted and has comfy bench seating to the front right, the bar is to the left, there is a separate bar room to the left which is square shaped and has bench seating and small stools.
There was a decent choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Collingham Prince Regent Ale which went down well, the other beers noted were Naylors Summer Ale,plus one more from Naylors,GK IPA and one from Elland brewery.
This is a very pleasant pub to have a drink in.

Stone built two roomed pub with a beer garden on the end. The interior is half timbered in style but I couldn't see much as the place was absolutely heaving with Leeds United fans watching their team getting trashed by some southerners, there are a number of screens including one in the garden. The staff coped admirably with the heaving masses and the quality of the ale was excellent, it is a GBG 2011 entry. There is a good range of microbreweries beers plus Taylors Landlord, Deuchars and Tetleys plus the usual keggy stuff. Well worth a return visit when Leeds aren't playing, probably as a three hander with the Hulats and Further North, as it's conveniently between the two.
