Looks like and indeed is an estate pub serving its local community behind the bus turning terminus and a little group of local shops for local people. Open plan single room inside with the mix of carpet, tile and laminate often seen in Greene King pubs of this ilk. Central servery, which is a shallow U shape, three big quad T-bars serve up your keggy delights while the four hand pumps were offering Ossett Silver King or a slightly above average Landlord, the others were unclipped so probably less is more here, it was a midweek lunchtime visit. Black Sheep, Jaipur and a Salamander beer were advertised as coming soon. More screens than you can shake a stick at, a couple of machines, darts, pool table and piped music of course. Furnished with the standard mix of banquettes, plus mid and high level tables, food is served. A few pictures, a mirror collection, a plaque I didn’t read and a few bits of Leeds United stuff as decor.
