A multi-room Sam’s pub with an L shaped counter ahead from the offset front door in a sitting area and a public bar with darts and a pool table to the left. A sitting room is to the right and there’s another sitting room beyond that. In the Sam’s style with dark wood, nice carpet, Britannia tables and other traditional furniture. Old photo décor in the main on red walls, it’s nice quiet pub without the curse of constant music. No cask just the collection of small boxes.

The Fountain is at the end of the pedestrianised shopping street.
This pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house,i went in the room to the left which i think was the bar but it was a fairly comfortable room.
There was no real ale on here just Sam Smiths keg products i had a drink of keg Old Brewery bitter which was'nt that bad for a keg drink.
The pub was fairly busy with older men.
