Assembly Underground, as was, reopens today as The Northern Market. It's the second Leeds Northern Monk venue and will feature a food market and beer hall. Ten beers available on tap.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about Assembly Underground
Underground (surprisingly enough) bar with primarily Vocation craft beers being served. If you're looking for cask, you'll probably be disappointed. Vocation's Heart & Soul was the sole choice. The craft selection from Vocation was Devil's Leap, Roll With It, Crush Hour, Lower Altitude, Life & Death, Life & Death Session Edition, Life & Death Golden Edition, Life & Death Hazy Edition, Elevation, Death By Cherries, Naughty & Nice & Abduction. Other beers included Schoffenhoffer, Timmerman's Cherry, Gweilo East & West, Deya Cooper's Hill, Vault City Snakebite & Black & Pohjala Ohtu. There were also a few lager-type beers and a couple of Hogan's ciders listed on the digital screens next to the bar.
Seating is on long benches, all parallel to one another, whilst there are a couple of food places dishing out "street food".
With not long available to us to drink in Leeds, I opted for the 11% Abduction, which was a raspberry imperial stout. I can't say I was too impressed, but the raspberry taste very often overwhelms this sort of beer.

Old Boots left this review about Assembly Underground
Vocation & Co's Leeds craft outlet with 50 taps of craft beers, which to choose? Feck nose but the staff will guide you although it's still an ordeal. It's based in cellars that go on a bit, there's a kitchen bit in one corner, and then you go round the corner to another half dozen kitcheny bits, so lots more beers and foodstuffs than you can shake a stick at, honest.
Not too bad on pricing my round of three pints was £12.60. Ironically for a youth oriented bar the toilets stink worse than most old folks homes I’ve visited.

Another one of those multiple bar and food outlet places in a cellar at the rear of the town hall. The main bar is run by Vocation and there's also a small gin & cocktail thing to the right called the Staff Room which appeared to be closed on Sunday. A vast array of beer on the bar, but only 6 on cask. It was the start of a long days drinking so I had a pint of Vocation Bread & Butter which was in very good nick. The food coming out of the Brazilian barbecue looked good as well, but as we were aiming to eat at Bundobust we gave it a miss. Another one we'll be back to next time.

You enter this good sized venue via a narrow sandstone stairwell from the street level. Once inside, there was a large oblong shaped room with long tables and benches set out and along the facing wall there were some street vendors units. These were serving food such as falafels, burgers and Indian cuisine. The bar area was located at the rear, along with a pizza outlet. This Vocation bar had a choice of 50 beers on our visit, 7 cask and 43 keg. The beers ranged from all their Vocation beers, plus numerous guests. The types of beers ranged from Saisons, Sours, Stouts, Porters, IPA's, Craft Lagers and Imperial Stouts. After sampling a few beers, we ended up sticking to our favourite, which was the Vocation cask beer, Heart and Soul, at £3.70 a pint.
