Old Boots left this review about The Brown Hare
A modern build pub owned by Sam Smiths. Entering at the right hand end brings you into a big square room with banquette seating round the periphery and the counter to the left against the rear wall. No cask OBB just a collection of the usual little boxes, there was no stout, my usual goto in these circumstances, so I had a Dark Mild which was pleasant enough but not a substitute. The Landlord told me he had no stout as it was a pound dearer than the mild and didn’t sell. Nicely done out as a modern Sams pub with nice wallpaper and carpets but a minging gents. To the rear is a large room with banquette seating, a counter and dart board. The main bar was decorated with Yorkshire flags, Union Jacks and oddly under the current circumstances US Stars and Stripes. I noticed two blokes using phones, one being the landlord, don’t tell Humphrey!
