Large double fronted Greene King pub, larger inside than the outside suggests almost next door to the Coach & Horses. There’s a long nicely carved counter in front of you when entering from the road, four pumps with a Cider, two of Greene King IPA although one has the old 3.6% pump clip the other a new one with the watered down strength, the final pull has a “house ale” called Swifts at 4.1%. There’s a wide range of standard kegs on various T-Bars and solos. Divided roughly into three areas with seating areas to each side of the central bar area, you may guess there’s a selection of seating types and it has a carpet except round the counter. Machines, a pool table and screens are located further back. It could be an identikit corporate place but it’s not quite and the beer’s reasonable although it is a little food oriented.
