Blue Scrumpy left this review about The New Inn
The New Inn is situated a little to the south of the village of Clifton-on-Teme along a lane. Its elevated position means it enjoys some lovely views over the Worcestershire countryside.
At the front of the pub, there are a couple of carpeted rooms. A dining room to the left appears to be in the process of being refurbished. A large sign in the lounge stated that food was coming soon. The lounge itself was fairly spartan. To the rear is a tiled bar with a pool table, dartboard, jukebox and a games machine. There are lots of motor sport pictures on the walls.
For our visit on a sunny day, the patio to the front was proving quite popular. Tables are set around an impressive yew tree which is arguably the pub's most impressive feature.
Cask ales were all from Wye Valley. HPA is a regular. The other two were Butty Bach & Hopfather. A total of 7 fizzy ciders were on offer - Thatcher's Gold, Juicy Apple, Blood Orange Cider, Apple & Blackcurrant Cider & Cloudy Lemon Cider, Robinson's Flagon & Weston's Vintage. What on earth has happened to real cider in Worcestershire pubs?
I got the feeling that this pub hasn't long re-opened or has changed ownership. I may be wrong but it didn't quite look the finished article.
