Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Lion
The Lion can be found in the centre of the village of Clifton. It looked quite upmarket as we approached but it was actually quite down-to-earth inside. The cosy and carpeted front bar is separated from a dining room by a large inglenook fireplace containing a wood burner. A side room to the right seemed to be serving lots of sweets for some reason. Perhaps it is the family room?
Wye Valley HPA is the regular beer. Their Butty Bach was also on and there was at least one unused handpull. Ciders were Robinson's Flagon, Weston's Vintage & Hawkstone Cider. Food wasn't being served on our mid-afternoon visit, but we saw signs saying that pizzas were being served on a Wednesday and a Sunday, presumably from the pizza oven located in a small outdoor patio adjacent to the car park at the rear of the building. With only drinkers present, the pub was doing a fair trade with a few picnic tables to the front popular amongst those wanting to enjoy the sun.
Music was playing inside and a wifi password was available. Local honey was available for sale at the bar.

Ian Mapp left this review about The Lion Inn
Fine village pub in a pretty village overlooking the Teme Valley far below.
Well described below - with me having little to add expect they have a small patio area with a couple of tables out front.
HPA and Butty Bach was on hand pull. The Butty was very lively but coerced into a full pint measure and settling down to be as good as any that I have before.
Busy on a Sunday lunch with a mixture of diners and locals.
Pleasant experience.

Oggwyn Great left this review about The Lion Inn
Old food led pub on the back road between Worcester and Tenbury , there is lots of old wood and bare stonework , there is a small traditional bar area with a dart board , the main area of the pub is dominated by the remains of a huge old fireplace dividing the room into two , the bar counter is to the right along with some modern seating , the left seems to be the main dining area .
Usual taps and four handpulls , Otter Bitter and Amber and Wye Valley HPA and Bitter , the Otter beers were a bargain £2 a pint and were in good nick , service was friendly .
Worth a visit
