1) It is not a Greene King Pub, it is in fact a "Free of Tie" pub!
2) The Ales served are according to the season.
“back of the net” which is a Golden Ale - EUROPEAN FOOTBALL (not Olde Trip which is a Chestnut)
“Mitch’s Mead” based on a Worcestershire Cricket player testimonial beer
SOORA, assuming you mean “Doosra” a very popular golden ale brewed for the cricket season
The present landlord took this pub on October 2014. The pub had not been open for many months. It was about to be closed fully until and present landlord agreed to take it on. It had become an eye sore. It offered nothing for its community. Since October 2014 the pub is thriving. It offers a full compliment of all sports including, Rugby, Football, and Cricket.
Coming in 2017, a brand new skittle alley to the rear of the pub!
ALL WELCOME

A Greene King pub with 3 pulls of house badged beer on a rugby theme, I guess they're all rebadged tosh from Bury St Edmunds. The pub calls its self the rugby pub hence the names Back of the Net, Mitch's Mead & Soora (?). I had Back of the Net which was probably Olde Trip to Jerusalem, it wasn't much cop anyway. It's a single room u shaped with central servery, darts one side, pool the other, big screen at one end and another by the dart board. White walls decorated with rugby pics, ceiling with six nations flags including Italy twice, one upside down and England gets a little one and a big one, counter top has some more. Popular garden at the back. Not my cup of tea.

The Crown Inn is a smallish pub that looks a bit like an house that has got bigger houses either side of it.
Once inside the pub was quite smart and comfortable and it had a homely feel to it,the pub used to be an M&B tied house and there were three real aels on the bar i had a drink of Wadworth 6X and this was quite a nice drink the other beers were London Pride and M&B mild.
This was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
