This pub is awkwardly perched on the hillside above the bay, with a small patio in front. The small, narrow room has the bar on the right and although it wasn't particularly crowded we decided to sit outside for the brief time it took to drink our beers. (It wasn't really raining.) Beer choice was limited to Timothy Taylor Landlord and Jennings Cumberland Ale, neither of which was in the first flush of youth. Maybe it's better in summer.

Small Hotel in Runswick Bay. its located slightly up the hill from the beach meaning there is a split level seating area at the front of the pub with a few wooden benches. Inside there is a rectangular lounge, lots of stone and a bar running along one side in part.
Its not the largest, and the toilets are in an outbuilding.
However its a characterful building and had exceptional views over the bay to kettleness if you are at the front or in the outside area.
There are two real ales - Black Sheep and a guest, in this case Box Steam Tunnel Vision. The quality of the beeb was superb, kept in fantastic condition.
There is a menu, with food locally sourced. Only had a baguette on my visit but again this was superb.
All round fantastic seaside pub on my visit.
