On a bit of a hiding to nothing, with a more attractive and famous pub just over the road. Of course, I gave it a go.
Rambing inside, with multiple rooms going back and deep into this Georgian? building.
The TV was on - and far too loud - having found the last of the remaining music video channels. That loud, I went outside, leaving the two other punters to shout amongst themselves.
Its a Wye Valley House with two special brews, along the HPA and Butty. For a change, I went to a Hawkstone Lager. £6.50.
But this might be the norm nowadays.

Pleasant enough hotchpotch of rooms with the bar at the front, up to a snug with a log fire, then a restaurant separated off. We nabbed the seats by the fire, and on a freezing day was the only warm place in the pub, and it was one of the staff who told me that. Anyway, adequate if cold HPA attractively served, other choices were Butty Bach and Doom. Garden at the back looked a pleasant spot in season, though there seemed a lot of tat piled up.
OK for a pit stop and thankfully no Ambridge related nonsense.
