An old pub with black beams and white render. Could be Tudor, could be Victorian Mock Tudor on an earlier site. Two main rooms - a bar area and a restaurant area, with an 'alcove' at the bar near the entrance and a 'glassed off' snug.
The pub has a grassed outside area at the rear and seating outside at the front.
The views of the surrounding countryside at the back are spectacular.
Beerwise, there is tap stuff - two ciders and a perry and six real ales. On during my visit were Timothy Taylor's Bitter, Holden's Bitter, Hobson's Bitter, Wye Valley HPA, 'Worcestershire Way' and a sixth ale that I can't recall. I had the Hobson's, the Holden's and the 'Worcestershire'. All three were delicious.
I went with three other people looking for Sunday lunch. We arrived at 3:00 and food stopped at 3:00. However, the chef came out and was happy to cook up four more Sunday lunches and he hung around so we could have dessert. Food was delicious.
The service was excellent and very friendly, from all the staff we came into contact with.
I would be more than happy to visit again. Highly recommended.

Cracking pub, great selection of real ales, good grub, fine ambience - what more could you want from a rural pub?
