Trading off its reputation for food, for which it gets a large amount of its trade.
Room are a restaurant, a small bar and an outside patio.
Two cask were on during my visit - Ludlow Blonde was chosen, which was in very good condition.

Set opposite Diglis Basin ,this Marston's house is a simple affair with two rooms either side of the entrance,the left snug has a raised dining area to the rear,while the right side contains the small bar and a door to the spacious rear courtyard.It's all very traditional,with a proper boozer atmosphere.Being a little out of town ,it also has a community feel and there was a friendly welcome.
Just two ales offered on my trip from the Marston's portfolio in Banks's Sunbeam (NBSS 3.5) and Ringwood Boondoggle with a third pump unclipped.Fine for a quick one when visiting the canalside.

Set in a pleasant location on the canal basin called Diglis Marina just outside the city centre, this is a friendly old style pub retaining two rooms and a small snug. The right hand side room has the bar, quarry tiled floor, banquettes and small stools at Britannia tables, the side room is split level and has polished floorboards, more geared up for eating in here although there are a selection of board games on a shelf. Both rooms have tiled fireplaces, the leaded windows have a central anchor motif. To the rear overlooking the waterside is a pleasant and sunny on Saturday morning, terrace with a long outbuilding adjacent which houses a skittle alley.
The barman was welcoming and chatty, four beers on, Bank's Bitter and Sunbeam plus two from Ringwood, Fortyniner and Boondoggle. Food served, they apparently do a legendary breakfast here but I'd had mine in the hotel, sausage and mash just £3.95, sandwiches from the same price, ploughmans £5.95.
A real old school pub in a quiet part of town that is worth taking the trouble to find.
