My visit predates the information (18/11/23) that the hotel was up for sale, but as their own website and Facebook, the Camra website and Good Beer Guide all seem to indicate business as usual, I'll assume my notes made at the time are still relevant - though there is no mention on FB of the monthly quiz which I saw advertised. This is an isolated hotel on the old A44 close to the River Teme. There's a small tap room on the right and a larger lounge to the left with dining room and games room with darts and pool. The Teme Valley brewery is behind and four of their beers on the bar. It was quite early - just gone 11am and I was driving - so I just had a coffee. I must come back some time for a beer.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Talbot

Substantial pub, restaurant and hotel with a fine riverside beer garden. However, the nearby Teme is a mixed blessing, with the bars, kitchen and many other parts of the interior still under repair following severe flood damage in February 2020. However, the village shop part is open after the coronavirus lockdown, as is a temporary bar set up on a table by one of the front windows so customers can be served outside. As the Teme Valley Brewery tap, I found That and T'Other (£3.20) being dispensed from a pair of handpumps. Other events, such as a regular farmers market, are also held here. Well worth a visit, even with these makeshift arrangements.

Just off the A44 beside the River Teme in beautiful countryside this large pub restaurant is well known to fishermen, ramblers and people who know a good hideaway when they see it.Disabled entry is via the hotel reception and the bar/restaurant is on one level. Extensive pricey menu , here Brakes is a dirty word.Lovely onsight brewed ales this is a place for that special treat of a weekend away perhaps. Me? I'm lucky, I live not far away.
Apart from the Farmers market on the carpark, a short walk over the footbridge brings you to a butchers that cures its own bacon, makes black pudding and pork pies. Knightwick is the place to Pig Out in every sense.

Marvellous, sprawling country inn set beside the River Teme. Restuarant features local produces whenever possible - award-winning breakfasts! This is also the home of the Teme Valley Brewery and venue for the Farmers Market.
