Small pub down a side street which was well used by locals, a couple of them had been in for a few hours by the look of it but very friendly! Didn't fancy lager or John Smiths so I went for a bottle of Newcastle and enjoyed it. Rough and ready pub but I liked it!

The Sportsmans Arms is situated on a side street just off Redditch's main square.
Once inside there is a narrow room which runs the width of the pub,the bar faces on the right side of the room, there is bench seating and small stools for seating, there is a darts board and TV to the right, there is a separate room to the left which is irregular shaped and had normal tables and chairs and a covered up pool table.
There were four handpumps on the bar, with only one in use, which had a cider on which i do not like,i had a drink of keg M&B Mild which was a very nice drink.
The background music was very good.
The pub was busy with locals on my Saturday dinner visit.
I quite liked this pub.
